The Oil Crash

A free online teaching resource from Film Education based on the documentary film A Crude Awakening, and designed to explore issues relating to the world’s oil reserves.

The Film Education resource provides students from a number of subject areas including, Media and Film Studies, Citizenship, English Language and Politics with an opportunity to engage with the issues raised by the documentary. In addition to the issues raised, students also consider the documentary film form and the approach taken by the filmmakers, and also how this might impact on the reception of the film by audiences.
