Morocco – a Learning Journey
KS2-3 Resource Pack

This teachers’ pack, with accompanying CD-ROM and web links, brings Morocco right into the primary classroom. It has been developed by teachers and educationalists involved in a British Council project linking York and Morocco. Whilst its aim is to use exploration of the country as a basis for teaching and learning French, it promotes a cross-curricular, intercultural understanding approach, and links into a wide range of subjects including History, Geography, Art, Design, Religious Education and PSHE.
The pack has background information on planning and school linking, plus suggestions for a wide range of classroom activities. The CD-ROM includes an extensive picture library, a teddy bear’s travel diary and a picture diary of a young Moroccan boy, as well as a set of worksheets and posters to print out. Further web links are available on the accompanying website. This is a great resource packed with interesting pictures and activities that will really engage primary children in exploring another culture, as well as their own.
